Full Review of the Xiaomi 15T Pro: The New Benchmark at €650

I finally hold the new Xiaomi 15T Pro in my hands. This device represents the latest release from Xiaomi for our market. I will be direct with you right from the start. For its current price of €650, this phone is a true gem.

My name is Hugo, and I welcome you to this detailed test. I am giving you full feedback here after using it extensively. In my opinion, no equivalent exists on the market right now. It offers so much for this competitive price.

A Familiar Yet Definitely Premium Design

Let’s start with the exterior of the phone. We certainly recognize this design. The Xiaomi 15T Pro adopts a format with flat edges and rounded corners. This style is a standard for Android models in 2025.

However, the build quality really impresses me. You get a solid frame made of high-rigidity aluminum alloy. I particularly appreciate the back of the phone. It features a matte finish that looks very successful. This finish has the huge advantage of repelling fingerprints completely.

The grip feels excellent in the hand. The phone does not slip at all. On the back, you cannot miss the massive camera block. It sits at the top right in a square shape. I like the shiny ring around it. It gives a nice chrome effect. Plus, the large Leica logo stands out proudly on it.

You might fear for the stability of the phone on a table. With such a large photo block, that is a legitimate concern. Yet, it does not wobble at all. You really have to force it to make it move. The general balance feels much better than on other recent models.

On the other hand, do not look for a lightweight device. This Xiaomi 15T Pro weighs 210 grams. It feels a bit heavy. The design remains quite generic overall. But for this price, the finish feels truly high-end. Personally, I find this mocha color absolutely beautiful.

A Huge Screen Built for Entertainment

Now let’s look at the front of the product. You will find a massive 6.83-inch AMOLED screen. It is a very large format. I love the fact that it uses a flat panel.

The definition is 1.5K. This provides an excellent pixel density of 447 PPI. Gamers will be delighted. The screen reaches a refresh rate of 144 Hz. That is really not bad at all. We are getting close to specialized gaming phone screens. Xiaomi also claims a peak brightness of 3200 Nits. Gorilla Glass 7i protects the whole assembly.

Concrètement, what is this screen worth in daily use? It feels extremely immersive. Its large size plays a big role. But mostly, the front has very thin borders. You really feel like you are holding just an image. That sensation feels very pleasant.

However, I must issue a major criticism. I do not like the factory screen setting at all. The default “Original Pro” mode looks very bland. The image appears flat and leans towards blue. This could disappoint many people at first glance. My advice is simple. Switch immediately to “Vivid” mode. This resolves the entire problem.

Regarding brightness, opinions might differ. The screen does the job, certainly. It works very well for daily entertainment. But it is clearly not the brightest screen on the market today.

Impressive Raw Performance

We know Xiaomi well on this point. The brand always delivers regarding power. This holds true even for a model at this price. I remind you of the €650 price tag.

The phone carries the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ processor. It achieves excellent scores on benchmarks like Geekbench. We see scores similar to last year’s S24 Ultra. That device was already a high-end reference.

It comes with 12 GB of RAM. In real life, this gives flawless results. The phone will run absolutely anything you want. You will have no regrets during use.

This raw power translates into absolute fluidity. This applies to the interface and inside any app. At this price, it faces no serious competition. For video games, it is a joy. The stability is remarkable.

One question often comes up with such power: overheating. I reassure you right away. The phone does not overheat. I tested this while gaming. I also shot long videos of 15 minutes. The Xiaomi 15T Pro manages its temperature perfectly.

Battery Life and Charging: A Solid Outcome

On paper, we get less than the Chinese version. In France, we have a 5500 mAh battery. The Chinese model goes up to 6000 mAh.

Despite this, battery life is excellent. The phone supports 90W wired HyperCharge. It also offers 50W wireless charging. In real life, I will be clear. This phone has better battery life than my current S25 Ultra.

You can last a day and a half easily with simple use. If you are a bit more demanding, you will last the full day. Even if you use the phone heavily, it won’t die before evening.

The Leica Photo Experience

For this price, the camera setup is very well stocked. We have almost a high-end phone composition.

You find a main Light Fusion 900 sensor of 50 megapixels. It possesses a large aperture of f/1.62. Then, you have a 50-megapixel x5 optical periscope zoom. Finally, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle completes the picture.

Of course, the “Leica touch” is present. You will find two main settings. There is “Leica Authentic”, my favorite mode on Xiaomi. You also have the “Leica Vibrant” mode.

The x5 optical zoom is good. It is not at the level of ultra-high-end, true. But it is largely sufficient for everyone. Watch out for one detail, though. We jump directly from x1 to x5 optical. This means everything in between is digital zoom. You lose quality quickly on portraits in x2 or x3. Beyond x10, the result becomes really average.

The Leica style stands out in photos. You might like it or dislike it. It differs from the neutral look of Samsung, Google, or Apple. In low light, moving subjects can sometimes be blurry. You need light to freeze movement properly.

However, in daylight, it looks sharp instantly. The detail is rather interesting. At night, all sensors perform correctly. They reconstruct the scene well. Night photos are clear with little digital noise. Light sources like streetlamps look good, without glare.

For selfies, I really like the quality. Again, at this price, it is hard to do better.

Video Quality and Software

You ask what this gives in video? The output looks very good. The selfie camera films in 4K at 30 fps nicely. On the back, 4K 60 fps looks very clean. Stabilization works well even when changing zoom.

Finally, I have not talked much about software yet. The Xiaomi 15T Pro runs on HyperOS 3.0. I will make a dedicated video later on tips. But I can tell you one thing already. This update feels pleasant for a Xiaomi phone. You know my complicated relationship with their interface usually. Here, it is getting better and better.
