I’ve had the privilege of testing many wearable devices. Today, I’m sharing my experience with a particularly anticipated product: the new Huawei Watch FIT 4 Pro. I have been wearing this smartwatch for three weeks now. This time has allowed me to form a solid opinion on its capabilities. Huawei even invited me to an early presentation event. So, I was able to discover its features in detail before using it daily. Follow me for a complete overview.
Two Models for All Tastes
Huawei has launched two versions of its new watch. First, you’ll find the Watch Fit 4 classic. It is priced at €170. Four colors are available: black, gray, purple, and white. Then, there’s the model I have on my wrist, the Fit 4 Pro. Its price is €280. You can choose it in black, blue, or green. I personally fell for the green version. Its strap is, in my opinion, the most successful.
Design and Finish: Everyday Elegance
This watch impresses with its sophisticated design and meticulous construction, suitable for both daily wear and sports activities.
Aesthetic and Build Quality
The Huawei Watch FIT 4 Proadopts a “tank” format, meaning it’s square. It’s an aesthetic choice I appreciate. All around the dial, there’s a titanium and aluminum alloy. This material is aerospace-grade. In traditional watchmaking, titanium watches often cost over €400. The perceived quality is therefore immediately high. The case itself is very thin and light. It measures 44mm. Its exact dimensions are 44.5mm by 40mm, for only 9.3mm thickness. That’s thinner than an Apple Watch Series 10, for example (9.7mm). Its weight without the strap is 32 grams. With the green strap I’m wearing, it weighs 42 grams. This lightness greatly contributes to comfort.
Ergonomics and Controls
On the right edge, two buttons stand out. The first is a rotating crown. It allows access to applications and navigation. The second is a shortcut. It directly launches sports tracking modes without touching the screen. It’s very practical. On the left edge, the speakers are visible. Microphones are also integrated. Yes, you can listen to music and make calls with this watch. I’ll come back to that later.
Unmatched Comfort and Durability
Regarding the straps, three colors are therefore offered for the Pro: black, green, and blue. The green strap I use is, for me, the best sports strap I’ve ever tested. It’s ultra-comfortable. I barely feel it around my wrist. I even sometimes forget I’m wearing the watch. Even when wet, from water or sweat, it never becomes unpleasant. Moreover, it wicks away moisture very well and dries quickly. This format is pleasant for all wrists, small or large. I have a rather thin wrist (I usually wear 41mm). Yet, this 44mm doesn’t look massive. It remains discreet and effective. The finish is premium. I forget its presence, but its resistance pleasantly surprised me. Being quite clumsy, I bump it regularly. Yet, no scratches or impacts are visible after three weeks. It’s impeccable.

Screen: Impressive Clarity
The Huawei Watch FIT 4 Pro sports a superb 1.82-inch AMOLED screen. Its maximum brightness reaches 3000 nits at its peak. Concretely, the screen remains perfectly readable in all circumstances. I was able to verify this during a sea trip. Despite bright sunshine, I could perfectly distinguish the information displayed. This is a considerable advantage. The screen quality is flawless. The resolution is 480 by 408 pixels. Furthermore, a sapphire crystal protects the screen, making it ultra-resistant.
Sensors: A Complete Technological Suite
This watch packs an impressive amount of sensors. There’s a 9-axis IMU sensor. It measures the watch’s movements and orientation. It includes an accelerometer. This counts steps, automatically detects certain exercises, and analyzes sleep. A gyroscope is also present. It detects orientation to turn on the screen with a wrist movement. It also tracks complex movements, like a golf swing. Yes, a Golf mode is available.
A geomagnetic sensor determines orientation relative to magnetic north. It provides compass functionalities. Of course, an ECG sensor is integrated. It allows monitoring of certain aspects of heart health. An ambient light sensor automatically adjusts the screen brightness. Another sensor manages the remaining battery life and displays it. The PPG 5.5 sensor measures heart rate and blood oxygen saturation (SpO2). It also tracks heart rate variability and analyzes sleep more finely. Finally, a skin temperature sensor measures skin temperature directly.

Battery Life: Remarkable Endurance
Battery life is often the weak point of smartwatches. Fortunately, Huawei excels in this area. This Fit 4 Pro is no exception. It has a 400 mAh battery. According to Huawei, this corresponds to 7 to 10 days of use. Based on my experience, it’s closer to 10 days than 7. That’s excellent. To recharge it, a small magnetic block simply clips onto the watch. A full charge takes about 75 minutes. That’s quite fast.
GPS: Accuracy on Point
GPS accuracy is of great interest to many runners. This watch integrates Huawei’s Sunflower positioning system. It has been improved by 56% compared to the Fit 3. I live in the countryside. To run, I go into the woods, where mobile network coverage is absent. I wanted to test the GPS in these difficult conditions, with a high density of trees. The result blew me away. The watch tracked my route with great precision. Whether on existing trails or cutting through the forest, the track was accurate. You can therefore trust the measurement of distances and routes.

Features and Operating System: A Seamless Experience
The Huawei Watch FIT 4 Pro is packed with features, all running smoothly on its dedicated OS, making for a user-friendly and versatile device.
Robustness and Compatibility
This watch is water-resistant, with a 5 ATM rating. This corresponds to a theoretical depth of about 40-50 meters. You can use it for swimming in a pool or in the sea, on the surface. However, do not use it for deep diving. It is compatible with Android 9 minimum and iOS 13 minimum. I tried it with my Samsung S25 Ultra. Everything works perfectly.
HarmonyOS and App Ecosystem
The operating system is HarmonyOS 4.0. You can install applications via the AppGallery. This is Huawei’s app store, accessible from the Huawei Health app on your phone.
Intuitive Navigation and Customization
Navigating the interface is very simple. Swiping down gives you access to shortcuts: drainage mode, settings, lock, find my phone, alarm, sleep mode, flashlight. The home screen, or watch face, is customizable. Press and hold to change the watch face or modify the one displayed. For example, I was able to replace one piece of information with my sleep duration. Swiping left from the watch face displays the weather, the voice assistant (works best with a Huawei phone), or the music currently playing. Continuing to swipe, other information panels appear. You can configure these panels, add or remove them. Swiping up, you check the latest notifications. The rotating crown allows you to go back.
Extensive Application Suite and Sports Tracking
Pressing the rotating crown from the home screen opens the list of all applications. There you will find a calorie counter (where you can enter your meals), training history, ECG, calculator, barometer, compass, and even an arterial stiffness detection feature. A dedicated panel summarizes your day’s sports activity with shortcuts to launch workouts. Another displays your heart rate. You will also find breathing exercises, your skin temperature, stress tracking, and detailed sleep analysis. A panel allows access to your favorite contacts to call directly from the watch. Your phone’s calendar can also sync there. The second physical button directly launches sports modes. Over 100 workouts are available, from skiing to paddleboarding, including darts or diving (with depth, speed, temperature).

The Huawei Health App: Your Personal Coach
The Huawei Health app acts as the central hub for all data collected by the Fit 4 Pro, offering deep insights and management tools.
Centralized Data Dashboard
The Huawei Health app is the watch’s essential companion. It centralizes all your data. On the home page, you see your steps, distance, and elevation gain. Further down, tools like fitness programs, courses, or diet analysis are offered. You can enter your meals. The app will tell you if you are in a caloric deficit or not, based on your metabolism and activity.
In-Depth Exercise Analysis
The exercise history is very detailed. For a run, for example, you will see the GPS track, duration, pace, calories, heart rate by zones (warm-up, aerobic, etc.), cadence, vertical oscillation, left/right balance, and altitude. Advice is even provided.
Comprehensive Health Monitoring
Sleep tracking is also very advanced, with an analysis of deep, light, REM sleep, and tips to improve it. SpO2 and skin temperature are also recorded. You can review your ECG data and track your heart rate trends over time.
Device Management and Personalization
From the application, you also manage the watch faces, the AppGallery to install new applications, and music transfer to the watch. You can even download offline maps for navigation. This level of control ensures the watch is tailored to your specific needs and preferences.

My Verdict on the Huawei Watch FIT 4 Pro
After these three weeks, what do I really think of this watch? It’s an extremely pleasant product to wear daily. The interface is simple and intuitive. The amount of information available, whether on the watch or in the app, is impressive. Everyone will find something to like. The battery life is much better than many competitors at the same price. This is a point I particularly appreciate about Huawei. Moreover, the reliability of health data is excellent. Huawei constantly innovates in this field.
The only small criticism I could make concerns the voice assistant. It works exclusively with a Huawei phone. However, other manufacturers adopt the same strategy. So, it’s not a deal-breaker.
Would I Recommend the Huawei Watch FIT 4 Pro ?
Without hesitation, yes. The Huawei Watch FIT 4 Pro is a very complete and high-performing smartwatch. Its design is neat, its screen magnificent, and its battery life excellent. It shines with the richness of its sports and health tracking features. If you are looking for a versatile, durable, and accurate watch, it is an excellent choice. It will satisfy demanding athletes as well as users concerned about their well-being. It’s a success.
