Samsung has unveiled its new smartphone, the Galaxy A56. This model introduces 45W fast wired charging for the first time in the Galaxy A series, a technology adopted by the brand four years ago.
Galaxy A56: Refined Design and Larger Screen
The Galaxy A56 sports a slimmer design with a thickness of only 7.4mm. Samsung has also redesigned the camera island to eliminate protruding lenses. The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen features thinner bezels on all four sides, providing increased immersion.
The First Smartphone with the Exynos 1580 Chipset
This model is the first to integrate the Exynos 1580 processor, officially announced by Samsung last October. This chip represents a significant improvement over its predecessor, with a CPU reaching 2.9 GHz, an AMD-based GPU, and a 14.7 TOPS NPU. This results in a 37% performance increase compared to the previous generation. However, contrary to rumors, it only has 8GB of RAM, not 12GB.

Galaxy A56: Bright and Durable Screen
The Galaxy A56’s screen boasts a maximum brightness of 1,900 nits and an HBM brightness of 1,200 nits, while maintaining a Full HD+ resolution. It also features Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection on the front and back, as well as an aluminum frame, enhancing its robustness.
AI-Boosted Photo Enhancements
In terms of photography, Samsung retains the previous configuration:
- 50MP main sensor (f/1.8)
- 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2)
- 5MP macro lens (f/2.4)
- 12MP selfie camera (f/2.2)
The novelties lie in the AI-optimized photo algorithm. The Galaxy A56 offers contextual image enhancement, an optimized night mode, and smooth zooming between the main and ultra-wide-angle sensors, with doubled speed.

Six Years of Updates and Android 15 at Launch
Good news for users: Samsung is committed to providing six years of security updates and six major Android updates. The Galaxy A56 will launch with Android 15 and One UI 7.0, bringing a revamped interface and new customization options. Among the key features, the smartphone includes Circle to Search, which allows for quick on-screen searches with a simple gesture.
45W Fast Charging: A First in the Galaxy A Series
Previously reserved for premium Galaxy S models, 45W wired charging is finally arriving on a Galaxy A series smartphone. Dubbed Super Fast Charge 2.0, this technology recharges 65% of the 5,000 mAh battery in just 30 minutes and reaches 100% in 68 minutes.

Galaxy A56: Price and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A56 is available in four colors: graphite gray, light gray, olive, and pink. Here are the announced prices:
- 128GB: €479 / $499
- 256GB: €529 / £499
With these high-end features, the Galaxy A56 stands out as an excellent choice for those who love high-performance smartphones at a competitive price.
