A recent report confirms the integration of a 200 MP main sensor. This information corroborates the initial leaks revealed last month.
A 200 MP Photo Sensor for Exceptional Image Quality
Samsung has chosen the same 200 MP sensor as the one in the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition. This model was exclusive to Korea and China last year. It is also the main sensor of the Galaxy S25 Ultra. This improvement represents a major advancement compared to the 50 MP sensor of the Galaxy Z Fold6.
The report also reveals an improvement to the under-display camera. This camera, integrated under the foldable screen, has suffered from a low resolution of 4 MP until now. Samsung could offer better quality and higher resolution. The precise details of this upgrade remain unknown for the moment.
Despite these advancements, the other photo sensors of the Fold7 will not benefit from improvements. The ultra-wide-angle lens will remain at 12 MP. The telephoto lens will retain a resolution of 10 MP. The selfie sensor of the cover screen will also remain at 10 MP. These specifications are identical to those of the Galaxy Z Fold6.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7: An Announcement Expected in July
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be officially presented in July. It will be unveiled at the same time as the Galaxy Z Flip7. Samsung could also reveal its first “tri-fold” smartphone, but its launch would be limited to certain markets.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 promises a significant improvement in photography. Its 200 MP main sensor will offer impressive image quality. The under-display camera will also benefit from a welcome upgrade. However, the other sensors will remain unchanged. Samsung will officialize this model in July, alongside other expected innovations.
