After the launch of the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung is now turning its attention to its upcoming foldable models. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are already drawing attention, especially with new leaks about their technical features.
A Snapdragon 8 Elite for the Galaxy Z Fold 7
According to leaker PandaFlashPro, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. This choice is reminiscent of the Galaxy S25’s configuration, ensuring optimal performance.
For comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 used the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The adoption of the new processor promises better performance and energy efficiency.
However, no specific information has been revealed yet regarding the chipset of the Galaxy Z Flip 7. According to an earlier leak, this model could feature the Exynos 2500, originally intended for the Galaxy S25 and S25+ but pulled due to yield issues.
Memory and Storage: Up to 1TB for the Galaxy Z Fold 7
The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold would offer three storage options:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB
- 12GB RAM + 512GB
- 12GB RAM + 1TB
The Galaxy Z Flip 7, on the other hand, would offer 12GB of RAM with either 256GB or 512GB of storage. These configurations are similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6, meaning Samsung isn’t planning any major changes in memory options.
The display will retain a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits, just like its predecessor. This brightness ensures optimal visibility, even in direct sunlight.
Another new feature is the inclusion of the ProScaler technology from the Galaxy S25. This technology would enhance content resolution directly on the device, providing better display quality.
Camera Sensors: Few Expected Changes
The latest leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will feature a camera module similar to the Z Flip 6, with:
- A 50MP main sensor
- A 12MP ultra-wide sensor
- A 10MP front sensor
This setup isn’t a game-changer for photography but should ensure high-quality shots.
Price and Availability: No Price Hike Expected
Good news for foldable fans—the prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7 are expected to be similar to those of the previous generation.
In France, the prices are expected to be:
- Galaxy Z Fold 7: Starting at €1,815
- Galaxy Z Flip 7: Starting at €1,210
Samsung might also offer a slightly more affordable Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE version to attract a broader audience.
The Z Fold and Z Flip models seem to be logical evolutions of their predecessors. Samsung is focusing on a Snapdragon 8 Elite, an ultra-bright display, and some software improvements. However, the changes in photography and memory remain minimal.
